Colonel Bolitho takes over the reins as President from the previous Lord Lieutenant of the county, on the retirement of the long-serving Lady Mary Holborow DCVO, who has served as a staunch supporter and advocate of the charity for a number of years, as well as raising awareness of the service its provides during her time with the magistracy. Lady Mary chose the site to plant a stunning apple tree that was presented to her by the Magistrates Association in recognition of her service, dedication and commitment to the Lay Magistracy in Cornwall, after serving as a JP from 1970 to 2011.
Colonel Bolitho has already demonstrated a great interest in both the work of the charity and the issues involved in addiction within the county, and we are thrilled to have his support.
