Following its first inspection by the Care Quality Commission since the Department of Health granted them the powers to rate independent sector, standalone substance misuse services, Bosence Farm was very pleased to have been rated ‘Good’ across the board.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult
social care in England. They make sure that health and social care services provide
people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care
services to improve.
The service was inspected on 6th December by a specialist team – who arrive without notice, as is usual – who examined the practices and procedures of all three services, spoke to staff and service users, and thoroughly checked all aspects of our record keeping. The full report was then agreed by and published last week – giving Bosence Farm a rating of ‘Good’, with no Requirement notices.
