Bosence named as charity supported by Tesco Bags of Help scheme – we need your votes!

Posted on: April 28, 2017

Bosence Farm has been accepted for the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ scheme at the St Ives branch during May and June this year.

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme  where the money raised from the 5p bag charge is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK.  Projects that bring benefit to their community will get the green light – these range from improving community buildings and outdoor spaces to buying new equipment, training coaches or volunteers and hosting community events.

We are in line for a grant of at least £1000, but it could be up to £4000 depending on how many votes we get.

The grant will be spent on equipment for our newly opened Young Persons unit, which will provide diversionary activities, new experiences and opportunities to learn new sets of skills to the young people in our unit; this is absolutely fundamental to their treatment.  We are striving to provide the best possible outcomes for our young people and the money will go a long way to helping us do so.

Please can I ask for the help of anyone who may shop in Tesco in St Ives over the next 2 months?

People can vote every time they buy something in Tesco but they may have to ask for a token as they are not always automatically offered by the check-out operators. Just take one if in reach or get one from another till or customer services desk if your till has run out. There is no minimum sized purchase.

If you shop there you will get a token to vote – please can you put it in the Bosence Farm tub?

**voting is for all of May and June – and you can vote for us as many times as you like during this time ! **

Please spread the word and ask your family and friends to do the same

Thank you
